Missoula's own Haley Joy Tate was crowned Miss Montana 2025 at the historic Motherlode Theatre in Butte, marking a standout moment in state pageant history. Not only did she earn the coveted crown, but she also swept multiple preliminary awards, including Most Photogenic, Social Media Impact, and Overall Fitness, proving herself a dynamic and well-rounded leader.

Haley is beyond thrilled to represent the great state of Montana September 2–7 in Orlando, Florida, as she competes for the title of Miss America 2026.

A surgical assistant at Alpine Oral & Facial Surgery and a student at the University of Montana, Haley is pursuing her B.A. in Communications with a minor in Psychology. Her powerful and deeply personal monologue, “Houston, We Have a Diagnosis,” earned high praise during the talent competition.

Her Community Service Initiative, EmpowHer: Breast Cancer SupportHERs, is rooted in her passion for advocacy and inspired by her own mother’s battle with breast cancer. Through this initiative, she partners with Chicks n’ Chaps to raise funds and awareness for Montana women fighting the disease.

Haley is also a dedicated mental health advocate, committed to destigmatizing conversations around suicide and emotional wellness. An athlete at heart, she stays active through hockey and mountain hiking, showcasing the grit and spirit Montanans are known for.

With over $6,500 in scholarships awarded and a mission to make a meaningful impact across the state, Haley Joy Tate is ready to lead with heart, strength, purpose, and a little "JOY" as she prepares to take the Miss America stage this fall.
